The Art of Tamara Perusic Art

Tamara Perusic Art is the artistic name of Tamara Perusic, a fine arts graduate and contemporary Croatian artist.

I graduated from Arthouse College of Visual Arts in 2024 under the mentorship of Kiki Klimt, PhD in Arts.

Painting has followed me since childhood, but life took me first through economics, IT and business management. I spent twenty-four years in the corporate world, while a second language lived inside me all along: colour, form and canvas.

That meeting of two worlds is no coincidence, and it shows in every piece I make.

My work moves between two poles. On one side, the signature pixel effect is structured and precise, with each square carrying its weight. On the other hand, Wild Silence, my latest series: raw, gestural, free. Paint applied with instinct rather than intention. Both come from the same place, the need to find form for what cannot be said.

I work primarily in acrylics, occasionally in oils, on canvas, MDF and paper. My motifs are nature, sea and animals, but what I bring to the canvas is not a literal scene, rather its emotional resonance. Each painting is a fragment of memory, a moment already passed but still alive through feeling.

Today I exhibit regularly in Croatia and abroad, from Zagreb, Sibenik and Otocac to Ptuj, Zimbabwe and Lima, Peru. My works are held in private collections and interiors, where they go beyond decoration and become part of the everyday experience of a space.

Each work begins with an emotion or a memory, not a plan. I work in layers, building atmosphere before detail, letting the painting tell me when it is finished. The pixel elements arrive last, breaking the surface into rhythm. In Wild Silence, I let go of even that structure. The brush moves before the mind catches up.

If you are looking for an original painting that carries a story, character and emotion, you are in the right place.
